One day,

I want to have a white kitten that doesn't scratch.
I want a new dog, a Siberian husky.
I want to feed the strays.
I want you to believe that I can only find joy in animals but not men.
I want you to see that my life isn't all roses and butterflies.
I want you to know that I am a wild spirit.

I want to stay in igloos and build campfires every night.
I want to wear mittens and socks to sleep.
I want to sew a multi-colored quilt that I can snuggle in.
I want to sleep under a starry sky knowing I won't get killed by any man.
I want to live with the wild beasts, having a heart in sync with theirs.
I want to live in a limestone cave, in a tent lit up with jars filled with fireflies.

I want to be a hunter, riding on a lion through the wild lands.
I want to be a daredevil, having the heart to pierce my fallen prey.
I want to just leave everything behind, pack up and leave for the mountains.
I want to just get on a plane and reside in a third world country.

I want to just sit in a cafe built on the ruins of weak walls, writing a book.
I want to capture the faces of people, their emotions, their lives, everything.
I want to help build the ruins of nations with my own two hands.
I want to live with the poor, the homeless, the hopeless.
I want to spend the rest of my life living in mountains and caves.
I want to lie by the riverbanks, and walking through flower fields.
I want to feel at ease with the world.

So one day, I'll disappear from the face of the earth.
And if one day you receive anonymous letters in your mailboxes,
just for that one day, please know that it is me.
